Chess

Last week a chess specialist ( Nyla's dad) came in and taught us about chess, he told us that there are in total  204 squares on a chess board.


Chess develops patience and strategy, I played Daksh and Yevin and I bet Daksh and he was making excuses.




Thank you Nyla's dad for coming in and teaching us about chess. 

Dance with Mrs Dinniss

When we went dancing with Mrs. Dinniss  we did seven seven steps and it is a Dutch folk dance  where we had to skip seven steps and  put your right knee up, then we put our left knee up and skip seven steps and did more steps like that, we also did the chicken dance from Germany and I like dancing because it is really entertaining and really fun to do,I would do dance again,Thank you Mrs.Dinniss

Hatchet

Hatchet is a book that MS.Nelson is reading to us and so far my favourite part is when he was attacked by a porcupine  and he got quills stuck to his leg.

On Monday we had  very special people come in,the minstrel and his wife mrs Minstrel and we talked about sustainable sea life.Mr Minstrel sang a lot and a lot of songs,Mrs Minstrel did some funny dances and we joined in to.SO the first thing that we learned is that do not pick up fish without a wet towel because if you hold it without a wet towel you will take the scale as well will hurt it and also there is something like  sunscreen on it and if you pick it up you  will take away some of the sunscreen ,also if you put it back in the water it will get sunburnt.Wait a second,I forgot something,The minstrel was a very,very,very funny dude,I mean he was doing joke after joke after joke.The jokes were funny but I didn’t laugh.I thoroughly enjoyed that experience.THE END

Fidget spinner persusive writing

Should fidget spinners be allowed at class time?

 

Should my teacher allow fidget spinners be allowed at class time?I believe they should be and here are the reasons why.

Firstly I think they are good because they let me concentrate like when I was doing writing at home I was using my fidget spinner and I wrote more faster

Secondly They are good because they let  me put my hands on something when I am bored like before I go to school I spin it or when before I go to bed I spin it.

Last of all they come in really cool colours like the normal colours,oil slick,gold,silver and rose gold.

In conclusion I think fidget spinners  should be allowed at class time and remember that fidget spinners are tools not toys

Electro city is the best!!!!!!!!!!!

  you might of heard a game called Electro city and it is a good game,right?  well I like it because


1.it is knowledgeable  like when you spend money you get to spend wisely

2.you can learn how and when to use electricity and money

3.you learn how to care about your environment

4.you learn about water
