Athletics

The past few weeks we have been doing Athletics practice and it was fun.



I learnt that in running that your body weight is  very important
In high jump your arms are important 
And in shot put your arms are important too

The Hei Tiki

On June 26th my class and I went on a trip to the museum to learn about the Hei Tiki. We first examined some rare Hei-tikis then made some The Hei Tiki is  a symbol of power and welcoming in the Maori religion.We also made our own Tiki's made out of felt,glue and buttons. My one is white with purple eyes and blue arms and legs.His tongue is fire and it also has a moustache.It was really fun. 

Caropoloy

For the last 2 days Room 3 have been adapting board games. Me and my group (Me,Sean and Ariel) adapted Monopoly by making Caropoly .Caropoly is a car version of monopoly and it is really better.I liked working with my group and really enjoyed.

This is artwork we did for sacred hear.I have got crosses,fire,sacred heart and crown of thorns.

It was really fun.

Cross country

This year we did cross country(again) and sadly I didn't place anything but I did try and it was really fun.When we started it was nerve-racking but later it was fun.I was running with Charles at the start but later I ditched him, the run was 2 kilometres long.The final stretch was my least favourite because people cheered you on.

Bikewise

This week we had a session of bike wise.We learned about a lot of things but I will talk to you about safety.

                                            HELMETS

1.You need to see if there any cracks, if there are any chuck it away

2.A helmet can only been used once. If you fall and hit your head throw it away.

3.Before you start riding check if the straps are right under your ear.

4.You need to tighten your straps.

5.Make sure the helmet is covering your fore head

                                            BIKES

1.Make sure your Quick-release is closed and tight.

2.Make sure your tyres have enough air.

3.Make sure your brakes are working

4.Make sure your handles are tight

5.Check if the seat is right for you.


So that's how you check your bike an your helmet.  

Maths Capacity

This week in maths we have been learning about capacity.So everyone in the class has a cup each and they measure out how many millilitres are in that glass and how much you are going to use.

So I was in  a group with Ryan,William,Zach and me,of course. My group thought that it would be easier if we did 200 millilitres.Millilitres are the smaller capacity to hold liquid substances and litres are the big one.

 We then put in our jelly.The first jelly was red,Then yellow,then green and lastly orange.Today we are going to eat the yummy jelly.

MIinecraft

This is Me and my friends Sky city lodge in Minecraft,here is a video .It was really fun even though it took 2 1/2 days to build its got rooms,A casino,a ticket registers,a restaurant,toilets and a pool.I hope you enjoy the video.

Jesus' resurrection tomb replica

Mine and my Friend Liam's Model

Today me and my friend Liam made Jesus' tomb.We made it out of sticks,a cup,leaves,stones and dirt.This tomb is when Jesus resurrected from the dead after he died,he died three days before he rose in accordance to the scriptures.Mary and her friends went to the tomb Jesus layed in and all they saw was nothing,so they went to get Simon and he found the cloth that was around Jesus' waist.Then in surprise a Angel came behind them and said "why are you looking for him?" then Jesus came and asked him "Why are you looking for me?".So that is how that happen.

Swimming sports reflection

At swimming sports I had lots of fun,

My favourite race was free style because that was my only race, I didn't do the other races because I injured my toe really bad so that it but I did have some other fun like seeing my friends race and talking to my friends who didn't do any,I also had fun watching the fun games like the noodle soup where people spread toys and bits of noodles (not the edible one)so you get timed and you have to get the things out of the pool in the bucket and the donuts where you sit in one and you get pulled across the width of the pool and so that was it Bye.

Time tables

This is a times table chart,the times tables I need to learn are 7x8,4x8,6x8 ,8x4 and 6x4.I am pretty good at division but I need to learn how to do pencil and paper division.

Ash wednesday

Ash Wednesday is a day  when we go to church to get crosses of ashes on our head made out of promises and palm leaves,the cross is to remind us about our promise.

The soccer ball represents my love for soccer,The book tells that I love Geronimo Stilton,that collage of pictures are my love for travelling and on the collage there is me with the merlion,me at kaiprianga and universal studios and also me holding a squirrel at red fort so thats my bag.
